11. Procurement of a domain name of your choice - subject to availability - and setup for virtual use at a remote server for pointing and mail forwarding of your domain mail.  Price $25.00, plus upfront cost of domain name - usually about $35.00 per/year.

NOTE:     Now for a little of the technical stuff.  Some major revisions took place in July/August 2000.   OC48 lines replaced T3's (which we used to have) and are much faster.  A T3 transfers at 43 megabits a second or about 4.3 megabytes per second.  Which is fast, but nothing like an OC48.  One OC48 transfers at 2.488 gigabits per second!  They are also redundant, meaning they're from different providers.  So if one fails, the others won't.

                  Our major platform used is Linux, however if the user wants, they could have a Windows 2000 platform.   You will probably get the same amount of speed, so to the average person it would not make a difference.  It generally only matters if a user wants to do some programming on a Windows platform.  All servers can play streaming audio and video because of the high speed lines.  And any platform can use activex pages, cascading style sheets and frontpage extensions.  The routers and switches are standard for any Internet environment.  They allow high speed data transferring and sharing amount with many different servers.
